Pilot Whales come to play:

We were on our way back to Fresh Water Bay having tried to anchor over at Long Island and not been happy with the anchorage. We were very close to the shore and still in 35M of water, with many rocks and Bommies all around us. Fresh Water Bay was only three hours away, we had a safe track in and new the anchorage was safe.
Not long into the sail a large pod of Pilot Whales came along side, they played for well over twenty minutes. At times I am sure we could have touched them, they were so close. One actualy side swiped the hull with a thud that shook “Catcha Star”.
