Rainforest Revine

19th 21st August 2010

This really is a small world that we live in. While at rainforest Ravine we anchored with two catamarans, that evening we met the two couples onboard. Peter & Penny Neville were originally from Lyn Street, North Beach and Derrick & Liz Hill are retired farmers from Mount Barker, more recently from Albany and know Murray Trent. Murray is a close friend and keen Cruiser from Fremantle Sailing Club. Lyn Street, North Beach is where I grew up. what was that about six degrees of separation?

Rainforest revine is a unique spot in The Kimberley. Amongst all the harsh, but beautiful landscape that The Kimberley is famous for, there is this rainforest with rock pools.

It really is quite amazing. There is room for many boats outside the entrance to the river, so sundowners are the order of the day.

It appears to have become a regular meeting place for Cruiser’s.

Thanks again to Bruce Beattie for letting us know about this majestic place.
